Curriculum Vitae
Moving from my birthplace in the Midlands to London in the early seventies I was dismayed on visits home to see the backstreets where I grew up disappearing under the bulldozer along with a way of life never to surface again. I started feverishly to record these scenes before they disappeared forever, using photography and quick on the spot sketches as a base from which to develop more substantial durable works of art in the studio, a method I have used ever since
